On Sunday, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide, leaving his fans and friends in complete shock.

The actor had left behind no note and the Mumbai police is currently investigating the matter. The investigation has revealed that the actor had cleared the salaries and payments of his staff and household help three days before he passed away.



Reportedly, after clearing all the payment of his staff and household help, he informed that it won't be possible for him to pay them further.

  According to reports, Sushant's manager revealed to the police that he was in discussion with ex-manager Disha Salian for a role in a web series.

 However, the police have not found anything substantial.
Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput was last seen on the big screen in the 2019 film Chhichhore in which he played the lead opposite Shraddha Kapoor.

Before the lockdown, the actor had wrapped the shoot of the film Dil Bechara which is the remake of the film The Fault In Our Stars. The film which will be remembered as his last film will be released on Disney plus Hotstar.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely passing has left everyone in shock. The actor, known for his performances in Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni – The Untold Story, Kedarnath, PK, Chhichhore, has been receiving tributes from all across.

 Writer Kanika Dhillon, who co-wrote Kedarnath script, remembered him in an endearing post and recalled how she was surprised with his dedication towards his craft.

In a long letter, Kanika revealed how he had added notes to a 100-page script then had swollen into a 300-page novel.

“I noticed that my 100 page script of Kedarnath- had swollen into a 300 page novel as I saw Sushant carrying it ... I asked him 'what have u done? Added scenes to it?' He smiled earnestly and simply said— I made my notes and attached them .... I read scenes every day and find a new meaning - a new take and I add it to the page..... I'd never seen such dedication or method applied to this craft before.

All actors have their ways that work for them- but sheer hardwork and relentless focus.... was his... I felt acutely aware of every word I wrote in that script... cos I was aware Sushant would be reading it over and over and toiling over it to bring forth the best interpretation of the written word effortlessly,” she wrote on Instagram.

“Despite being in a conflicted complicated reality we all live in... He made Mansoor pure... like the snow capped hills of Kedarnath... Mansoor who felt every word of the nazm he loved 'lagja gale ke phir yeh hasi raat ho na ho... shayad iss janam mein mulakat ho na ho....'

I make sense of you going away just like Mansoor did- Mansoor who left us all- too soon- with a disarming smile- with an unfinished love story.... that somehow was complete in his head.... and so did you,” she continued.

Kanika signed off by saying that Sushant will always be celebrated. “You will be missed. You will be celebrated ... the stars in the night sky make us all dream... and now you are one of them! Keep shining.. keep twinkling...and May your soul rest in peace,” she wrote.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14. The actor was 34 years old and died of suicide.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's last movie Dil Bechara, the Indian remake of The Fault In Our Stars, is yet to be released. The actor, who passed away on June 14, will essay the role of Manny in the upcoming film that may release directly on an OTT platform.

Saif Ali Khan has a cameo in the film and the two actors got to work together briefly in the film.

Speaking about it, Saif Ali Khan recently said when he did guest appearance in Dil Bechara, he felt like Sushant was happy about it.

 Sushant was very nice to him and spoke about wanting to have drinks and talk about various things. Saif feels bad about it since it never happened. After working with him, Saif quite liked him.

During the shooting, Sushant revealed that he was a back up dancer for Saif during the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006. So Saif congratulated him for how far he had come in his career.

Interestingly, Saif's daughter Sara Ali Khan made her debut opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Kedarnath in 2018. He had heard praises about him from her. He said that Sara always described Sushant as a remarkable person.

Speaking of meeting him, Saif said that he had refined looks and was a good looking guy. When he met him, he thought he was little on the edge. He said that he felt he was looking for something.

The actor further revealed that Sushant was interested in the same things as him and liked discussing philosophy and astronomy.

 I remember when I came to Mumbai to be an actor, producers and directors looked at me as though I was from another planet.

  ‘Yeh kyon aaya hai?’ asked their eyes. When I came here, the heroes were all fair-skinned and cute. I looked just the opposite.”

Shatruji surprised himself from becoming successful. “It was a long struggle, bahot dhakke khaeen pade. But I never thought of giving up. Suicide was not even an option. Why should it be? Life is too precious. I’ve heard Sushant was going through hard times financially.

But that doesn’t mean you take your life. 34 is no age to die.”

He wonders what kind of signal Sushant’s suicide sends out to youngsters. “Sushant was young, handsome, talented and successful.

When he ended his life his fans must have wondered why. When you are in the limelight you have a responsibility towards the public.”

About the nepotism debate, Shatruji says, “No individual or group can take away what’s meant for you. Kumar Gaurav, son of superstar Rajendra Kumar was launched with fanfare.

But his career got nowhere. When my friend Amitabh Bachchan came into the film industry he faced a series of rejections.

 My daughter Sonakshi was lucky to be launched by Salman Khan who is a family friend.

But Sushant who had no Bollywood connections got launched in Hindi cinema with a film like Kai Po Che. That’s the only film I’ve seen of Sushant.

 And he was a scene-stealer in it. I had eyes only for him in spite of the talented Rajkummar Rao in the cast. I could see he had a bright future. I don’t know what went wrong.”

Shatruji recalls meeting Sushant only once. “He was my daughter Sonakshi’s colleague. They met more often.

I met him once and he was very charming, well-read, polite, curious and focused. I felt he had a very bright future ahead.”

Then there was the Patna connection. “His family was least affected by his stardom, just like my family.

I am surprised my family has not met Sushant’s father in Patna as yet. But when I’m in Patna next, I will most certainly meet his father.”

Many reports have suggested that the actor lost out on many projects. This has also led to a case being filed against big names in the industry.

In the latest update, Sushant Singh Rajput was offered four films by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. According to a source, “Many people in the industry are expressing their grief and not many know that both Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Leela Bhansali were quite fond of each other as well as their work.

 In fact, not once but four times working together was on the cards for them, SLB had offered him 4 films, but due to date issues, things didn’t materialise.”

The source further revealed that Sushant and Bhansali’s equation was strong since the actor even took a stand for the filmmaker during Padmaavat controversy.

“As far as their equation is concerned, Sushant had taken quite a strong stand for SLB when the director was attacked in Jaipur and while Sushant condemned the violence he also dropped his surname ‘Rajput’ to show support to the filmmaker.”

Ekta Kapoor, who launched Sushant as a lead actor in Pavitra Rishta, had a lot of admiration for the actor. “And not just SLB, but even Ekta Kapoor and Sushant had lots of mutual admiration for each other.

 Ekta was not just his close friend, but also a huge admirer of his craft, in fact, she has time and again praised Sushant for his talent and had offered him several projects.”

A case has been filed against Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Ekta Kapoor. Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha has filed a complaint under Sections 306, 109, 504 & 506 of IPC in connection with the actor's death in a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur.

The advocate has alleged that Sushant was ousted from seven films and that some projects did not even release.
