Riteish Deshmukh reflects on his film debut as he prepares for OTT Premiere with Pill

Riteish Deshmukh made his acting debut in 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam, and he has since been an active member of the Indian cinema industry. After working in Hindi and Marathi movies, he is now ready to take over the web with his OTT debut, Pill.

As he eagerly awaits the premiere of his debut online series, the actor discussed the contrast between his big-screen debut two decades ago and his OTT debut.

Riteish Deshmukh reflected on his big screen debut with Tujhe Meri Kasam as he prepares to enter the web streaming arena with his new series Pill. During his conversation with DNA, the actor said that he had no idea what he was doing. He said, “It was just a new energy; we did what we had to do,”

However, his OTT debut comes with a considerable level of expertise. According to him, the actor is better at his art than ever before, with a thorough mastery of all aspects of filmmaking.

In the same interview, the actor revealed that he had been wanting to work in the OTT area for a long time but hadn't found the perfect screenplay or subject. This is when producer Ronnie Screwvala and filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta joined forces to form a "terrific duo." Riteish Deshmukh said, “Pill is a clutter-breaker show.”

Sharing his thoughts on online streaming platforms, she remarked that “OTT format will stay for a long, maybe forever.” In this area, filmmakers have greater creative flexibility and less need to rush things. In fact, if the cut becomes larger, creators do not need to worry about cutting the tale. “Even actors are getting good work; makers are realising the worth of talents,” he declared. Pill will begin streaming on Jio Cinema on July 12.
