“Priyanka Chopra loves her work but Shah Rukh Khan gets obsessed with his projects,” says Farhan Akhtar; decodes latter’s stardom

Farhan Akhtar, the filmmaker behind the iconic Don franchise, has shared insightful observations about his experience working with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview, Akhtar praised Khan's charming personality, intelligence, and dedication to his craft.

During his chat with Raj Shamani, Farhan asserted, “He is exceptionally charming and knowledgeable. He reads a lot. He can talk about any topic and he will have his point of view on that. He is a good listener. He is well read and he is also interested in people. He is curious and adventurous. He likes to have a nice time and he doesn’t like the weight of things too much. He is a fun guy to hang around.” Shah Rukh Khan Gets Obsessed With Projects He Does  Farhan's admiration for Shah Rukh Khan's dedication is evident in his analysis of the superstar's enduring popularity. While many actors are passionate about their work, Khan's obsessive drive sets him apart, according to Akhtar. He explained, “There is this inherent charm he has that is magnetic and it is both on and off the screen. He is easy, it doesn’t feel laboured and that ease makes you feel comfortable. He works really hard and that has kept him where he is. I have met many people who love what they do. I have worked with Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka loves her work but with Shah Rukh Khan he gets obsessed with the project he is doing and as a director that motivates me.” 

Speaking of the professional front, Farhan is gearing up for the third installment of the Don franchise, which Ranveer Singh and Kiara Adani will headline. The teaser of Don 3 was unveiled in August 2023. Reportedly, the film is expected to go on floors next year.
