Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra spotted with new luxury car worth Rs 3 crore amid ED seizure of assets

Months after the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) seized properties worth Rs 97.79 crore from actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra in connection with a bitcoin fraud case, Raj Kundra made news once more by acquiring a brand new luxury car. Lotus, a British luxury sports vehicle brand, has delivered a dazzling green car to Kundra for an estimated Rs 3 crore.

A video provided by Voompla shows Raj Kundra taking his new automobile on a test drive. He was then spotted arriving at his Juhu house in the sleek new car. Kundra stepped out of the car, dressed casually in a grey t-shirt and blue track pants, and returned a fleeting glance at the paparazzi before declining to recognize them. The video also showed his son, Viaan, who accompanied him on the expedition.

This lavish purchase comes after Kundra and Shetty had been involved in major legal jeopardy. The ED attached the couple's properties worth Rs 97.79 crore in April of this year under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act of 2002 (PMLA). The properties, which include flats in Mumbai and Pune, were taken as part of an investigation into a bitcoin fraud case that began in 2017.

The ED claims that Raj Kundra and others acquired enormous sums from the public, totaling Rs 6,600 crore, by promising 10% monthly returns in the form of bitcoin.

Following the property confiscation, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra made a joint statement through their lawyer, stating their desire to cooperate with the authorities. "We have complete faith in the Honourable Judiciary," they said, adding that they are willing to help with the investigation and hope for a fair outcome.
