Amid swirling rumors about marital discord with her husband Abhishek Bachchan, actress Aishwarya Rai was recently spotted at her in-law's house, Jalsa, in Mumbai. The actress was accompanied by her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, sparking renewed interest in the status of her marriage. On Monday, paparazzi captured the mother-daughter duo arriving at the Bachchan residence. Aaradhya, still in her school uniform, appeared to have come straight from school, while Aishwarya was dressed in a green outfit.

Speculation about a potential split began after Abhishek was spotted without his wedding ring and after the couple made separate entrances at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding in July. The situation was further aggravated when Abhishek liked a post on Instagram that discussed divorce, sparking widespread discussions online. Neither Aishwarya, Abhishek, nor their family has commented on the rumors so far.

Aishwarya’s recent work

On the professional front, Aishwarya Rai was last seen in the highly successful Ponniyin Selvan 2, directed by Mani Ratnam. In the film, which is a sequel to the 2022 blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan: I, Aishwarya portrayed dual roles as Nandini and Mandakini Devi. The film is an adaptation of the 1955 five-parts novel series by Kalki Krishnamurthy, and it has been widely acclaimed.
