Arjun Kapoor calls Akshay Kumar's Hera Pheri his ‘biggest memory’ of being a fan of the movie: “Raju ka character iconic hai”

Arjun Kapoor, a true Bollywood fan at heart, grew up watching Indian films that shaped him personally. Recently, the actor shared his admiration for his Singham Again co-star Akshay Kumar's 2000 film Hera Pheri, revealing how much he enjoyed it. Additionally, he revealed that he had posters of Aamir Khan's Rang De Basanti in his vanity van.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Arjun Kapoor spoke about his admiration for Akshay Kumar. The actor, who has also ventured into comedy, shared that he loved watching Kumar's portrayal of Raju in the 2000 film Hera Pheri. Kapoor recalled several memorable scenes from the film, describing it as his strongest memory of being a fan of Akshay Kumar on-screen.

Arjun Kapoor said, “I think Hera Pheri, jo Raju ka character hai woh iconic hai, woh jab khade hai aise teeno line mein and Tabu aati hai aur woh bolte hai, utha le, toh I think Hera Pheri for me is I think is the biggest memory of me loving Akshay Kumar.”

The Ishaqzaade actor confessed that he was a huge fan of Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar, which is why he went to watch Hera Pheri. However, none of the actors disappointed him, and Kapoor found himself watching the film multiple times.

Arjun shared, “The film I watched repeatedly, I damaged the DVDs of the film after rewatching it several times.”

He described each scene of the 2000 film as “iconic” and mentioned that it was one of the films whose posters he had put up in his vanity van, as it had a significant influence on him while growing up.

Arjun also had posters of the 2006 Aamir Khan starrer Rang De Basanti, which featured Siddharth, Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan, and Kunal Kapoor, among others, in his vanity van.

On the work front, Arjun Kapoor was recently seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, co-starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, and more. He has received widespread praise for his role as the antagonist in the film, describing it as his "rebirth" as an actor.
