Karan Johar asks Maheep Kapoor if Shalini Passi’s popularity makes her jealous, her reaction says it all!

The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives season 3, recently released on Netflix, introduced Delhi socialite Shalini Passi, who quickly became a fan favourite with her candid, vibrant persona. Passi, a well-known millionaire from Delhi, gained attention for her confident presence on the show, and her popularity hasn’t gone unnoticed by the show's producer, Karan Johar.

Karan recently shared a playful video on Instagram featuring Maheep Kapoor, one of the original cast members and wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor. In the video, Karan can be heard teasing Maheep from behind the camera, asking her how she feels about Shalini’s newfound fame. 

"How does it feel to see Shalini Passi getting so much attention after the show? Are you feeling threatened?" Karan questions. In response, Maheep tries to cover her face and jokingly replies, “You are giving me a headache,” to which Karan quips, “Has your popularity given you a headache?”

Shalini Passi’s Introduction to the Show Brings New Energy

Alongside Maheep Kapoor, Passi joined the cast of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives as one of three new socialites, including Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Kalyani Saha Chawla. The trio has been brought in to add fresh dynamics to the show, joining Maheep and her friends Bhavana Panday, Seema Sajdeh, and Neelam Kothari.

Shalini Passi, who lives in New Delhi with her husband, Sanjay Passi, chairman of Pasco Group, and their son, Robin, revealed her thoughts on fame during episode four of the season. She explained, “There are four stages of knowing me,” detailing her journey from public disbelief to eventual admiration. A well-known artist, art collector, and philanthropist, Shalini is also the founder of MASH, an initiative connecting art, architecture, design, and fashion.
