December 10 marks 14 years since Ranveer Singh made his debut with the rom-com Band Baaja Baaraat alongside Anushka Sharma. This film marked the beginning of his successful career, with fans still revisiting his entertaining performance. To commemorate the special day, Ranveer took to social media to share the milestone with his followers.

Ranveer Singh shared a video from his debut film Band Baaja Baaraat, where he played a determined guy-next-door aiming to make it in the wedding planning business. Reflecting on the milestone, the Bajirao Mastani actor expressed his gratitude, writing, "14 years since Band Baaja Baaraat. When my dreams became a reality."

Band Baaja Baaraat not only marked Ranveer Singh's debut but was also the directorial debut of Maneesh Sharma. At a time when Singh was striving to establish himself in the industry, actress Bhumi Pednekar, then a casting director, came across him during auditions for the film. She was impressed by his 'phenomenal' performance and knew he was the right fit for the role.

During a recent conversation on Kareena Kapoor Khan's chat show What Women Want, Bhumi Pednekar reminisced about the first time she encountered Ranveer Singh at their casting office in Juhu. She recalled that the same vibrant energy he exudes on the red carpet or while interacting with people was present even then, showcasing his natural charisma from the very start.

Bhumi Pednekar further shared that despite having rehearsed her lines multiple times, she blanked out and forgot them during the rehearsal with Ranveer Singh. It was in that moment that she truly realized his brilliance, as his presence and energy were so powerful that it left her in awe.
