Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has revealed fresh insights into his long-discussed dream project, Mahabharata. Speaking in an interview with the BBC, Khan described the mythological adaptation as both exciting and daunting, underscoring its cultural importance to Indians.

“Well, that’s my dream project, and it’s a very scary project. It’s so huge, and I am scared of getting it wrong. It’s a huge responsibility because, as Indians, it’s something so close to us, it’s in our blood. So I want to get it right. I want to make every Indian proud. I also want to show the world what India has,” Aamir shared. He admitted uncertainty about when or if the project will come to fruition but maintained his commitment to the idea. “I don’t know if it will happen, but it’s something I want to work towards. So let’s see,” he added. Updates on Sitaare Zameen Par Aamir Khan is currently busy wrapping up Sitaare Zameen Par, which has been described as a spiritual sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. Originally scheduled for release in December 2024, the film has been postponed to a summer 2025 release.

Yesterday, it was reported that Aamir concluded the shoot of the RS Prasanna-directed movie. A report by Mid-Day claimed that it was a patch shoot that began in the afternoon and lasted until late at night. “Aamir wanted to make sure the film was wrapped up on Sunday. With the shoot done, Sitaare Zameen Par has now reached the finish line,” said a source close to the production.

The post-production phase, which will involve intensive editing, visual effects, and sound design, is set to begin soon. Reports suggest Aamir plans to hold focus-group screenings as early as February to fine-tune the final cut. The movie, an official adaptation of the Spanish sports comedy Campeones (2018), stars Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary alongside Khan.
